Just discovered your site and thought i would send details of my mk.2 GT6.
I have owned this car since 1983, she is the second car that I have owned,
my first being a Triumph Vitesse Mk.2 convertible. I have more or less worked
upon every part of the car and she is more or less at a stage that please
me now- however a 2.5 litre engine might be installed soon. The current specification
of the car is as follows.
Bodywork;
Colour : Royal blue
All steel except fibreglass front Valance. Most panels have been replaced
except the floorpan, roof, the rear valance and the bonnet- this has received
localised repairs.
Britax Vinyl Sunroof.
Engine:
2.0 Litre Lightened and balanced bottom end, modified head, duplex vernier
timing gear coupled with TR5 camshaft. (Built 1991- bit knackered now!) Ali.
front and rear engine plates + cast ali. water pump housing. Twin 1 3/4 SU
carbs (Ex Dolomite Sprint) and 6>2>1 Triumph Tune exhaust manifold c/w
twin exhaust system. Mocol Oil Cooler. Lucas 22D Vitesse dizzy with Aldon
ignitor electronic ignition, NGK plug leads.
4 staggered row radiator with PRI ducting kit- this works
Standard Clutch
Gearbox:
GT6 'box with 'J' type overdrive. BL Works team type switching.
Differential:
Spitfire 1500 3.63:1 ratio.

TriumphTune Shore 70 bushes
Koni Shockers
330 lb front Springs
1.5 degrees neg camber.

about it, however it must be said that the car is used, it has done 4no. Club
Triumph Round Britain Reliability Runs (2000 miles in 48 hours), and 1no.
Club Triumph 10 Countries Run Similar mileage to RBRR except in Europe- UK,
France, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland,Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg
and Belguim). Every year I do 2 or 3 track days at Britsh race tracks and
generally use her once a week.Both of the pictures attached are taken at Mallory
Park, one last month at the TR Register Track Day- thanks to James Carruthers
for photo. Great car that still delights, also it handles! Nice to see a good
