2003 News & Progress.
Budget
Blown.
[12/30/03]
- Well
after a quick email and phone call, I've spent my budget. I've ordered new
lower support brackets. New cross members, they were on sale so I don't
have to try and make new ones, a new heel board to replace the bad one and
of course the rear lower valence. Click
to view pictures of the parts to be replaced.
Bad

[12/29/03]

Plan
Of Action For 2004.
[12/26/03] - Well with 2003 quickly coming
to a close, I'm please to announce things will be improving here. I'm going
to restart my efforts after some kind encouragement from family and friend
(thank you). As you can see from the pictures.
lined my goals for Jan and beyond, first I want to get the rear wing, cleaned,
protected and repaired. From there I will move forward. I hope this will
be a nice way to easy myself into the metal working part, which I fear the
most. I'm sure I will get the hang of it, but this had been anything but
an easy ride. Here is to 2004!
Early
Xmas Present.
[12/24/03] - As I was walking out of the
house, I found a UPS package set up by the door. I opened it right away,
inside I found a wonderful surprise from Jon Spracher.
Thank you so much Jon for the Triumph GT6 art. Merry Christmas. Click
to view.
Have
to move South.
[12/21/03] - This evening I decided to test
my new 240v heater out. Its cold out, the garage was at zero and after a
1/2hr of heating only 5 degrees. Still its better then the smaller unit
I had last year. I think I need to dry wall the garage for even better weather
protections. Click to view
pictures.
I made a promise to myself and my GT6 that over the xmas break I will put
some time into the project. Just trying not to spend money right now and
focus on finding a better paying future.
2
new GT6's added to the ranks.
[12/21/03] - I've added Chuck's
Plus and Bob's
MK3 to the GT6 Registry. Both are project cars, but one day will rule
the roads.
To see full registry click here.
FK12073U
Saved.
[12/10/03] - Bob's 1973 GT6 MK3 is now safe
and sound at home. It does need a bit of work and a new frame for sure,
but this will be a fantastic car when done. Bob told me he wants to make
this one stock. Way to go Bob! Click
here to view pictures.
I've passed Bob my GT6 Body Rig for his project. I'd rather see it in use
then under the deck outside.
Seasons
Greetings.
[12/05/03] - We would like to wish everyone
a safe and happy holiday.
Triumph

A

[11/20/03] - Joe
Kerska from California contacted me about his GT6 Mk1. Pleased to add
you to the list.
If you have a GT6 spend me a few picts and your info and I'll add you to
the registry.
New
Web Server.
[11/19/03] - I upgraded my server tonight.
Went from a P166 MMX to P2 350Mhz. This should speed things up a little.

Registry

[09/29/03] - Oh yeah another GT6 MK1 added
to the list. It grows.
Visit the registry for all the
GT6's.
Holding
Pattern.
[09/04/03] - With the recent change in my
work status the GT6 has been put on hold. I've spent my paint budget on
some new gear for my business. One day I will drive again, but for the time
being my life is a mess. Will I ever have a "good" year?
Thank
You OCDSB!
[08/26/03] - I would like to thank the Ottawa
Carleton District School Board. One week notice of lay off, nice eh. Cut
backs and stupid planning have ruined my life. Its going to be a little
lean for a while. I'm changing my taxes to fund the RC board and if I ever
have children there is no way in hell they will attend a public school.
Oh yeah its my site so I can say what I want to say!
So,
what's happening?
[08/19/03] - Things were going so well. What
happened? Hmm it rained for 10 days in a row, then we hit a record heat
wave....And then black out 2003 came. I can't wait to get back at it. The
server seems to be working and email is flowing. My summer is over. BOO,
but fall will be cooler. I want to get a 220 volt heater in the garage for
the winter. My goal now is to get the driver side done by snow fall and
work on the pass over the winter. Take it nice and easy, that's the best
I can do.

Different
Week.
[08/07/03] - Its been, stupid hot or pouring
rain. Oh well its a hobby right. I found myself this week learning Linux
to host the web site and still recovering from the foot accident. Last night
I went to the Place Cruise Night, but it was a slow night. The rain kept
a lot of people away. Still the MG made a good showing and it might still
find a home. Click

Oh I like the pretty blue cars :)

[07/28/03] - Well
it had to happen sooner or later. The first injury of the year. While in
the garage I brushed up against the angle iron I use for my metal brake
and knocked a piece over. I had my ear protection on so I did not hear it
falling, but the neighbors sure heard me. Click

Differential
Differences.
[01/04/03] - FK 32844
This appears to be from a 72 Spitfire with a 4.11:1 ratio. Translation,
my GT6 has a pretty impressive acceleration off the line, but runs at a
higher RPM on the highways. Since I don't run on the highways much, I don't
feel this is too much of a problem. Besides, I'm not going to change out
a perfectly fine working pieces of hardware. Well not right now. Click
